Consumers are still seeking alternatives to U.S. dependence on foreign oil, a recent survey finds. Consumer attitudes about ethanol are becoming more favorable with one third of the respondents to a recent national survey, and holding steady with another 62 percent. The study concludes that consumers are committed to energy diversity - all this, despite a well-orchestrated campaign by detractors to discredit ethanol in the marketplace.
